We are currently seeking a visionary educator to join us in shaping the next generation of legal minds.

The Role: Focus on Pedagogy & Innovation

As a Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship), you are an educator at heart. You will deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, thriving within our distinctive PBL model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver & Facilitate: Lead PBL sessions, seminars, workshops, and lectures.
  • Innovate: Develop and apply cutting-edge teaching materials that create interest and enthusiasm amongst students.
  • Curriculum Design: Carry out ongoing review of teaching content and contribute to the development of learning strategies.
  • Scholarly Engagement: Investigate innovative assessment methods and disseminate excellent teaching practices within the University and beyond.

While we welcome applications from all qualified legal educators, we are particularly interested in strengthening our expertise in:

  • Corporate and Commercial Law
  • Healthcare Law
  • Human Rights Law
  • Tort Law
  • Environmental Law

About You

You are a collaborative academic who thrives in a supportive, non-hierarchical environment. You should possess:

  • Qualifications: A postgraduate degree in Law or a professional qualification (solicitor, barrister, paralegal) in the law of England or Wales.
  • Teaching Excellence: Experience in HE teaching and the ability to use diverse techniques to engage students.
  • Innovation: A creative approach to applying teaching and scholarly activities.
  • Communication: Highly developed skills to engage effectively with a wide-ranging audience.

Knowledge of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and a commitment to interdisciplinary teaching are highly desirable.
