Lecturer in Nursing
- Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus + hybrid work arrangements
- Full-time and fixed term until June 2029 in the School of Nursing and Midwifery
- Level B $117,684 - $139,191 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)
Who are we?
The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
As a Lecturer in Nursing, you will:
- Lead unit teaching teams to design, deliver and continuously refine high‑quality, inclusive curricula, learning resources and assessments.
- Embed industry, clinical and research insights into teaching to strengthen relevance, engagement and student success.
- Drive innovation in curriculum and pedagogy, delivering learner‑centric, research‑informed teaching across multiple levels and modes.
- Build capability and educational excellence by mentoring colleagues, contributing to pedagogical research, and integrating new teaching scholarship.
- Advance a strong research profile through high‑impact publications, collaborations, industry partnerships, funding applications and HDR supervision.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience, with a strong foundation in scholarly teaching.
- Demonstrated excellence in UG/PG teaching, including innovative curriculum design and evidence‑based educational practice.
- Emerging research profile shown through publications, exhibitions and/or success in securing external research funding.
- Capacity for academic leadership, with the ability to contribute to research, administration and community‑focused scholarship.
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMBA, have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build effective, collegial working relationships.
