About the role:
The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing (Contact Lens Optician/Dispensing Optician) to support the delivery of the Vision Sciences educational provision and assessment of credit bearing courses in this area as the provision grows. The role will also involve acting as a module leader and engaging with student recruitment.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in a higher education environment in a relevant subject with outstanding delivery and learning support. You will need to be IT literate and be able to work on your own initiative and part of a team.
For this role an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Ophthalmic Dispensing or relevant area and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area such as Contact Lens or Low Vision will be required, along with being registered with the General Optical Council as a Dispensing Optician.
