Lecturer, Marketing
The Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Tourism (MEHT) in the Bryan School of Business & Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for up to two full-time position. The position will commence on August 1, 2026, at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure-track).
The position will be slated to teach four courses each semester, with instructional responsibilities in the areas of advertising and promotions, marketing management, digital marketing, sports marketing, and innovation, (depending on departmental needs and faculty qualifications). The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the Department. Teaching online courses is required, and service to the university and to the academic and/or practicing professions is also expected. This is not a remote work position and upon hire, those selected must reside in North Carolina or within a reasonable commuting distance of it.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between the Bryan School and the business community. We expect this person to be instrumental in securing internships and job placements for our students by collaborating with businesses. Prior experience working with the business community to create career opportunities for students is a major asset for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a Master’s degree from an accredited school in a business, marketing, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited school.
- Substantial, high-level professional experience. To be professionally qualified for instruction, individual will need to have maintained ongoing professional experience over the last five years (consulting, professional certifications, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- The Department is interested in candidates with related teaching experience at the university level.
- Teaching experience in advertising and promotions, marketing management, digital marketing, sports marketing and innovation will be considered positively.
