Lecturer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lecturers in the School of Nursing participate in teaching and service activities in support of the School's mission. Essential responsibilities include teaching in face-to-face, online, clinical, and simulated environments; evaluation of student performance, creating collaborative relationships with clinical agencies; working with diverse students and faculty; engaging in curriculum design; developing and administering reliable and valid tests and measures; and engaging in service to the School, the College of Health and Human Services, and, as appropriate, the University.
Minimum Experience / Education
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience
Minimum qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution, two years of recent nursing experience in the following areas in order of preference: 1) pediatric, 2) obstetrical, 3) community and/or psychiatric mental health nursing. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience, excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively collaborate with teams, recent pediatric experience, a doctorate in nursing and national certification in a specialty area.
