Campus: Lincoln Center (LC) - NYC

Position Summary: Reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Educational Partnerships, the Resource Specialist for NYC Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (NYC-RBERN) coordinates technical assistance and professional development for NYC schools and districts. This position may require occasional regional travel.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitates, coordinates, and provides technical assistance, professional development, and related activities to the schools and districts throughout NYC.
• Assists the Director in carrying out the mission of the NYC-RBERN by maintaining ongoing communication with the schools in the region and the Statewide districts.
• Facilitates school-based activities in target schools that are in various stages of improvement.
• Attends NYSED network strategy professional development meetings in Albany.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• New York State certification as a bilingual/ESL teacher and/or administrator.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with English Language Learners students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or higher in Bilingual Education or TESOL.
• Teaching experience in secondary schools.

Minimum Salary: $96,967.00
