Job Details

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Management beginning Fall 2026. A Spring 2026 start may be considered, depending on candidate availability and department needs.

The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching and service. Instruction will primarily focus on introduction to business, principles of management, and business communication courses. Opportunities to teach other management-related topics in human resources, leadership, or entrepreneurship may be available based on experience and departmental needs. Lecturers typically teach five courses per semester, which may be delivered in face-to-face, or online formats.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the individual will also be responsible for contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes and engaging in service activities within the department, college, campus, community, and profession.

The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in business with a specialization in management or a related discipline from an AACSB or regionally accredited institution. Candidates must have completed at least 18 graduate credit hours in management or a related discipline or meet established alternative qualifications. Candidates should possess significant professional experience—both in duration and level of responsibility—that is current at the time of hire and qualifies them to teach one or more of the following topics: introduction to business, principles of management, human resource management, international management, leadership, or entrepreneurship. Maintaining professional currency is required throughout employment. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, students, the department, college, campus, community, and professional organizations.

Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business serves approximately 3,100 graduate and undergraduate students. The college offers undergraduate majors in seven disciplines (Accounting, Commercial and Investment Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management), as well as MBA and Masters of Accountancy programs at the graduate level. The Department of Management and Decision Sciences houses a management major with concentrations in human resource management, entrepreneurial management, international management, leadership, and operations and supply chain management. Reflecting the department’s strong reputation and student interest, enrollment has grown steadily and now exceeds 1,000 management majors. Additional information about the College and the University and its programs can be obtained by accessing the university’s web site (http://www.coastal.edu).
