The University of Aberdeen is opening the University of Aberdeen Mumbai Campus, that operates as University of Aberdeen Mumbai Campus Private Limited, a joint venture between the University of Aberdeen and its India-based partner.

The University of Aberdeen Business School invites applications for a full-time (Teaching and Research) Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Economics to be based in Aberdeen but teach at the University of Aberdeen Mumbai Campus. The successful applicant will primarily be based at the University of Aberdeen but will be required to spend at least one semester per annum at the Mumbai Campus. Accommodation in India and travel to and from India will be covered by the University of Aberdeen.

Candidates will have developed strong research expertise in Economics and demonstrate excellent teaching abilities. All fields of Economics will be considered. A willingness and an ability to immerse yourself in the academic activities on both campuses is essential.

This full-time post is dependent and underpinned by the delivery of programmes at the University of Aberdeen Mumbai campus. The successful candidate may be required to secure an appropriate work permit or visa in order to work in India.

Appointment will be considered at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer dependent on academic potential, record and experience.

Salary for a Lecturer will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £47,389 - £58,225 per annum, whereas salary for a Senior Lecturer will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8, £59,966 - £67,468 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Prior to employment, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
