About the Role

We are seeking a Lecturer to join the Division of Psychology, which has a proud record of excellent research-informed teaching. You will contribute to teaching on our suite of BPS accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as our other postgraduate taught provision. You will be an integral part of the academic life of this busy, friendly Division, our Faculty, and to the University as a whole. You will be expected to contribute to our research and knowledge exchange activities and engage with the wider research community. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for career development.

About You

As we are committed to providing an excellent student experience, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a degree in Psychology, will have a PhD or professional doctorate in the area of Research Methods, Cyberpsychology, Health or Forensic Psychology, and will have or be developing a promising research profile in psychology and should have experience of teaching on BPS accredited programmes. To be successful in this role you will work with students as partners, using your subject knowledge, research and/or practical expertise, to enhance their experience whilst studying with us.

Rewards & Benefits

By joining us you will be able to engage in continued professional development, by taking up some of the many opportunities within the Division and wider University community. You will receive a full academic induction, have the opportunity to be enrolled on our teaching and learning course (as appropriate), and benefit from university events such as our annual Research Festival, Teaching and Learning Conference, Diversity Festival, and the University Festival of Ideas. The Division of Psychology runs a research seminar series to help all staff maintain currency in a broad range of topics in the discipline, and to facilitate networking with fellow psychologists from across the UK.
