Library Associate (Part Time)
General Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Library Assistant will assist library users, staff the circulation desk, and maintain an environment conducive to study. This role requires a working knowledge of library terminology, the ability to make minor decisions, and a collaborative approach to working with library staff. This position primarily works daytime (Monday-Friday) schedule, with one scheduled evening shift per week; occasional weekend or late-night shifts may be available.

Essential Functions
- Provide circulation services at the service desk.
- Assist patrons in locating and using resources, services, and technology (printers, photocopiers, scanners, software, and hardware).
- Assist with course reserves, interlibrary loan, and collection maintenance.
- Assist with the inventory of equipment and library materials.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and productive study environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
