Licensed Counselor
Primary Duties
Counseling:
- Provide individual counseling services to students by completing initial intake information, establishing a diagnostic impression, developing a treatment plan with goals and determining progress toward individual student's goals.
- Collaborate with other counselors, Wolfpack Wellness Team, psychiatric nurse practitioner, psychiatrist, and Director of Wolfpack Counseling Center to ensure the appropriate level of care is utilized to best meet the needs of the students.
- Provide crisis intervention on campus in the event a student is an imminent danger to self or others and arrange transport for immediate evaluation and treatment.
- Documentation will be completed in the Electronic Health Care record and will follow Medicaid guidelines for documentation of mental health concerns.
Educational Outreach:
- Provide education for student, faculty and staff regarding mental health issues.
Ancillary Duties
Attend continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge base and maintain licensure and/or certification, if applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
- Licensure as LCSW or LPC in the state of Colorado.
- Special knowledge or skill in crisis intervention
- Electronic Health Care record experience
- Two or more years of experience in individual, couples, and/or group counseling.
