Licensing Associate, Health Sciences
Licensing Associate, Health Sciences is responsible for supporting the licensing officers or senior licensing officers as well as the venture development team within the ERIK Innovation and Commercializations Health Sciences Innovation (HSI) team under the direction of the AVP, Health Sciences. Works closely with both their manager, venture team and the licensing officers in HSI in identifying technologies for commercial applications, evaluating the commercial potential of technologies, identifying potential licensees, preparing non-confidential technical information for marketing purposes, developing and implementing specific marketing strategies for each technology. The Licensing Associate receives significant coaching and oversight from senior members of the HSI team to help them advance their knowledge and experiences.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience.
Qualifications Desired:
PhD preferred with 3-4 years of relevant working experience. Visionary and inspiring team member who is committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high performing culture with a varied group of people representing diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. Has the ability to work in a complex organization and further the goals and objectives of technology commercialization at The Ohio State University. Embraces data-driven decision-making. Acts with urgency in all stakeholder interactions. Is self-motivated, an effective verbal and written communicator, has executive presence and demonstrates high emotional intelligence.
