Perennially ranked by U.S. News & World Report, the Princeton Review, and Colleges of Distinction as a top national university, West Georgia offers 86 fields of study, including business, computing, nursing, education, STEM, communication and digital media, social sciences, and the fine and performing arts. UWG has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for its institutional commitment to community engagement through teaching, research and creative activities, and public service. West Georgia is one of only 119 U.S. colleges and universities to receive the elective classification in 2020 and is among only 359 institutions nationally. Dedicated to creating a first-choice university for students, alumni, employees, and communities, UWG seeks employees who will advance and support the University's mission of fulfilling the talent needs of western Georgia and the Atlanta metropolitan area, while contributing to the social, cultural, and economic development of the region and state.

Job Summary
The University of West Georgia has realized significant undergraduate and graduate growth in enrollment and expanded academic programs in recent years. To meet increased student demand for courses, UWG is expanding course offerings and faculty and staff positions, and we expect to continue to grow into the future for many years to come.
As an expert in your field, we welcome you to join us in service to students and the UWG community. We invite you to learn more about UWG and see how you can contribute and join the UWG team. Academic Affairs is continuously seeking faculty with strong teaching and student support skills, and we regularly hire part-time and limited-term faculty (in addition to new tenure-track faculty). These part-time and limited-term positions can lead into more long-term positions, including instructors, lecturers, and tenure-track faculty positions, as part of the UWG faculty recruitment process. Teaching part time and as a limited-term faculty member gives you a chance to experience the UWG community and expand your career opportunities.
Limited-term faculty involve teaching courses (typically four or five courses per semester, negotiable with the dean), some service, and some professional development. You will be supported by friendly colleagues in your discipline with course materials, mentorship, and other resources. As a full-time faculty member, you will have complete access to all institutional resources to aid your success.
We ask that you to submit your CV for consideration; as UWG grows, we need your help and your contributions!
