JOB PURPOSE: Under the general direction of the Assistant Director for Structural Trades, the Process Control Lead for Building Access Systems provides leadership in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operations of building access systems. Leads work of Master Locksmiths, provides technical guidance, training, and performs inspections. Keeps abreast of technology changes and serves as a technical resource.

Responsibilities include guiding work in building access systems, developing work scopes, providing cost estimates, assisting with systems standards, and troubleshooting electronic systems.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES: Assign and explain tasks, inspect work, train employees, advise supervisor, maintain records, promote safety, and perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Five years' experience or equivalent. Must be highly skilled, able to establish good working relationships, follow instructions, and be familiar with safety and code requirements.

Certifications and Licenses: Valid California Class C Non-commercial Driver’s License. Preferred: Licensed locksmith, certification in electronic access systems (e.g., Lenel), contractor’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, climbing, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require overtime, work in hazardous environments, and wear appropriate PPE.

WORK STANDARDS: Comply with university policies, demonstrate interpersonal skills, and promote safety.

The expected pay is $59.38 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges based on various factors.
