Ludwig Princeton Fellow
Princeton University is pleased to announce a search for Ludwig Princeton Fellows, a program aimed at attracting talented early-career scientists (0-2 years experience from PhD, MD, or clinical training) to positions working across at least two labs with a level of research independence exceeding a typical postdoctoral fellowship. The program centers on cancer metabolism, broadly defined to include technology development, computation, biological studies, drug development, and clinical trials relevant to diet, metabolism, cancer, cell growth, metastasis, autophagy, microbiome, and/or the immune system. Fellows will be housed at the Ludwig Princeton Branch on Princeton University's campus, or in collaborating labs at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. Appropriate backgrounds include a Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, physics or an M.D. with a track record of outstanding research accomplishments and high independent work capacity. Appointment will be to a postdoctoral rank, with a competitive salary. Appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. Fellows will receive mentorship from at least 2 faculty members, one of whom must be a member of the Ludwig Princeton Branch (currently, these are Josh Rabinowitz, Eileen White, Yibin Kang, Lydia Lynch, David MacMillan, and Michael Skinnider). Fellows may have the opportunity to perform a modest amount of teaching on Princeton's campus, according to a plan they may develop in conjunction with their mentors. While teaching, a Fellow may hold a secondary appointment as a part-time Lecturer in an appropriate department, pending sufficient course enrollments and the approval of the Office of the Dean of the Faculty.
