Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Director of Business and Auxiliary Services, the Manager, Campus Distribution & Asset Control, is responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of three distinct operational units: the University's Asset Management, Central Receiving, and Mail Services. This critical role ensures the accurate recording, tracking, and disposition of university property and equipment, facilitates the efficient receipt and distribution of goods, and timely, secure handling of all mail and packages.
Responsibilities
- Asset Management: Develop, implement, and maintain policies, systems, and accounting methods for the proper recording of property and equipment acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
- Prepare reports including building and department physical inventory, year-end activity and other special reports.
- Oversee identification, tagging, and recording of new capital and sensitive property acquisitions.
- Plan, coordinate and manage physical inventory/audit cycle.
- Central Receiving: Manage all Central Receiving operations including receiving, storage, and distribution.
- Mailroom Services: Oversee all incoming and outgoing mail services including USPS pickups, sorting, and chargebacks.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop subordinate personnel; monitor KPIs; ensure compliance with safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and 5 years of related experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience directly related to asset management, warehouse operations, or mailroom services.
