Manager, Student Financial Systems & Reporting
The University is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to serve as the Manager of Student Financial Systems and Reporting within the Office of Student Finance. This role is ideal for a functional technologist who thrives at the intersection of higher education finance, enterprise systems, data analytics, and team leadership.
Reporting to the Associate Bursar, this position leads the team responsible for system support, queries, reporting, and operational analytics across the office’s billing, payment, refund, and financial aid disbursement functions. The Manager translates business needs into practical system solutions and usable data, ensuring that the technology and information supporting student financial services are accurate, compliant, and aligned with university goals. You will establish clear expectations for documentation, data accuracy, and report usability, recruit, and onboard new staff, and adjust team capacity as office needs evolve.
- Serve as the office’s functional systems expert: You will serve as the primary functional expert for the systems that power student financial operations, including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Transact, Flywire, and related integrated platforms. You will review system changes, evaluate configuration options, advise leadership on system capabilities and limitations, and partner closely with central IT and external vendors to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Drive reporting, analytics, and data governance: You will lead the development and maintenance of operational and management reports that support daily operations, leadership decision-making, and audit and regulatory compliance. You will establish and enforce data governance practices, ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and usable, and expand the office’s use of analytics for forecasting, workload planning, and process measurement.
- Manage system-related projects and process improvements: You will serve as the primary functional lead for system upgrades, new tool implementations, and cross-functional process improvements. You will develop project plans and timelines, coordinate with campus partners, vendors, and central IT, and oversee testing, training, and readiness activities. This role plays a central part in preparing the office for ERP modernization and other strategic technology initiatives.
- Support compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement: You will ensure that systems and reporting practices support compliance with federal and state regulations, university policy, and NACUBO best practices. You will build strong partnerships across campus, identify opportunities for automation and service improvement, and contribute to planning and policy development as a trusted advisor on systems strategy and data-informed decision-making.
