Manager, Talent Development
Job Description
This position will design, maintain, monitor, and enhance programs, policies, and procedures in relation to talent development, succession planning, retention, and workforce planning. This position will work closely with staff, faculty, and leaders to identify and plan for career progression; develop and execute appropriate learning plans for career and competency development; and support succession planning. The manager will evaluate Radford University's workforce structures, advise management on the allocation of personnel and resources, and facilitate workforce efficiencies and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with related experience equivalent to the master’s level. Must have demonstrated progressive human resources experience including talent development, employee engagement, workforce planning, succession planning or related experience. Attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning skills. Demonstrated experience managing multiple, complex initiatives simultaneously and determining priorities based on strategic and operational goals. Comprehensive experience developing HR and/or training programs from inception to completion. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Higher education experience in human resources at a manager level. Experience utilizing HRIS systems including BANNER, PageUp applicant and position description tracking system, learning management systems (LMS), etc. Experience in organizational design, implementation of change management strategies, or consulting on issues to improve organizational effectiveness.
