Senior Employee Relations Specialist
The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will gather, investigate, collect, and maintain information, documents and records required for contract and policy development, workplace actions, and union negotiations. They will also provide support to the Learning and Professional Development area in the preparation and/or delivery of programming that is relevant to workplace effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional human resource generalist experience.
- Must have prior relevant labor/employee relations experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Prior labor/employee relations experience in a public sector/higher education environment.
