Materials Handler (Multiple Positions)
Position Highlights
This position will be responsible for picking up surplus equipment/supplies from campus and returning them to the Paul & Alice Baker Distribution center. This position will also be responsible for organizing the surplus items and preparing them for sale at monthly auctions. They will also provide customer service to campus departments and the general public in the Surplus Storefront. Additionally, this role will work closely within a team environment to accomplish daily tasks.

This position manages personnel, data, and processes associated with the Finance & Budget Division. Critical reporting and analysis processes of the Division include, but are not limited to: University leadership strategic reporting analysis and decision-support, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, the annual All Funds planning process, the Annual Operating Budget, Bond Issuance, Payroll, student billing and collection, and strategic business operations support.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive University stake bed trucks to campus to pick up surplus equipment/supplies.
- Use material handling tools like appliance dolly, pallet jack, and forklift to name a few.
- Assist with organizing and setting up Auctions.
- Provide excellent customer service to campus and general public visiting the surplus storefront.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Includes warehouse docks and vehicles
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move/transport/pull/push weight exceeding 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
