The Medical Librarian shall be responsible for providing reference assistance, collection development, bibliographic instruction, and circulation support to the Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at LMU-Orange Park and assist with serving the College of Veterinary Medicine at this location.
Required Qualifications
ALA accredited Masters in Library Science;ability to occasionally travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) credential or provisional membership; additional advanced degree in an area relevant to LMUs programs;knowledge of SpringShare or similar library software; experience in an academic/medical/health sciences library.

- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and the community at large
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large
- participate on university committees
- participate in the continued development of the Reed Health Sciences Library collection of resources (print and electronic)
- participate in updating Reed Health Sciences Library website in collaboration with other librarians;
- provide bibliographic instruction and reference services
- provide reference service for medical students, faculty, and staff using face-to-face models, telephone, e-mail, and chat
- work in coordination with other librarians to create, implement, and/or maintain innovative electronic instructional resources including web-based tutorials and online library guides with responsibilities for osteopathic medicine and any other programs as assigned
- evaluate, collect, discard, and loan information resources of the Health Sciences Library
- remain abreast of current or relevant professional developments
- participate in departmental planning and decision-making and implementation of library and departmental policies
- market the health sciences library services and the mission of LMU to the patrons of the library and the academic community at large
- complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports in conjunction with the Director of Library as necessary regarding library resources and services for the Orange Park site
- maintain strict confidentiality regarding library patron records and other University matters
- perform other duties as assigned
