Mental Health Provider, Multilingual

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Mental Health Leadership Team Member, the Mental Health Provider, Multilingual will provide mental health services in an integrated health care agency serving UW-Madison students across identities and programs.

Principal Duties

1. Provides individual and group therapy services
2. Participates in the provision of clinical crisis services and on-call mental health services (during business hours);
3. Provides campus-based services/outreach including programming and consultation;
4. Responds to campus crises;
5. Engages in caseload management consistent with short-term counseling to balance new and ongoing client needs;
6. Effectively provides clinical services aligned with best practices and ethical standards for individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences;

Key Job Responsibilities

• Delivers crisis intervention, including regular on-call shifts and additional on call coverage when needed
• Facilitates psycho-educational and process-oriented groups
• Provides individual and group counseling in Spanish
• Serves on multidisciplinary campus committees
• Prepares presentations and outreach activities and facilitates student adjustment and success programs to promote a healthy campus
• Provides counseling and/or information and referral services to faculty and staff
• Provides individual and group counseling to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues and refers students to appropriate community resources
• Provides translation of mental health documents
• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation
