Mentorship Specialist, Alumni Counseling and Development Center

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Career Services, the Mentorship Specialist at the Alumni Counseling and Development Center focuses on building and fostering mentorship and networking opportunities that connect Fordham students with alumni, employers, and professional networks. By leveraging the vast and engaged Fordham network, the Mentorship Specialist will engage new alumni partners, strengthen existing relationships, and expand the Ram Connect platform to promote career development and alumni engagement.
Essential Functions:
- Identifies, cultivates, and maintains mentorship opportunities between students, alumni, and employers.
- Facilitates new relationships within the Fordham network, with a particular focus on fostering diverse and inclusive connections.
- Engages alumni and employers to support and grow mentorship initiatives, ensuring alignment with Fordham's mission and values.
- Fosters a 360-degree professional development model within the Fordham community, creating opportunities for engagement that benefit both students and alumni.
- Promotes and expands the use of RamConnect, Fordham's online networking platform, by developing engaging content and initiatives centered around mentorship and career development.
- Encourages active participation from alumni, students, and employers, providing resources and guidance on maximizing the platform's capabilities.
- Builds a thriving, engaged alumni network that supports the career growth and personal development of current students and alumni.
- Supports the Rams Helping Rams and Fordham Mentorship Programs by overseeing program logistics, participant recruitment, and ensuring impactful matches between mentors and mentees.
- Collaborates with the Office of Development and University Relations and other university partners to plan and execute special events and initiatives aimed at connecting Fordham students and alumni.
- Partners with faculty, staff, and alumni to create high-impact programming for the Fordham community.
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with alumni, employers, and students to create a supportive and effective mentorship ecosystem.
- Regularly engages with mentors and mentees to track the progress and impact of mentorship pairings, adjusting strategies and resources to enhance outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Education, Social Sciences, or similar).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in alumni relations, career services, program management, or a related field.
Salary:
Minimum Salary: $66,555
Maximum Salary: $80,000
