About the Opportunity
Bouve College of Health Sciences and the Khoury College of Computer Sciences invite applications to one non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor, along with a leadership role in the MS in Health Informatics (MSHI) Program. The leadership role will be at the level of Program Director or Associate Program Director, depending upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The person in this role, who supports strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the MSHI Program, is appointed in both the Bouve College of Health Sciences and the Khoury College of Computer Sciences to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the health informatics profession. This role supports the design and assessment of a highly interdisciplinary curriculum, ensuring the integration of healthcare expertise, computational and data-driven methodologies and business management. The person supports program operations and collaboration across both colleges, maintaining a learning environment that is both academically rigorous and responsive to the evolving technical demands of the healthcare industry including the increasing relevance of artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Teach and participate in departmental, college, and university service
- Support development and maintenance of a strategic plan for program
- Maintain program curricula to ensure courses remain relevant in this fast-changing field. Coordinate with faculty to develop new content keeping the curriculum in line with professional accreditation standards and current industry trends
- With collaboration and assistance from the leadership of Northeastern's Global Network, engage in networking to establish and further leverage relationships to build a base of prospective student applicants; recruit teaching faculty to instruct in the program; and build partnerships with healthcare systems to enhance program awareness and identify potential experiential placements. This includes current availability of the program at our Vancouver Campus, and planned extensions of the program to other campuses in the Global Network.
- In collaboration with Associate Program Directors within Northeastern's Global Network, develop and maintain alignment across all program locations to ensure consistent academic quality, student experience, and curriculum standards while supporting regional customization that reflects local healthcare contexts and professional needs.
- Manage program administrative activities; advise students on academic and curriculum/registration issues; serve as liaison between the program and University offices that handle matters pertaining to graduate students and matters pertaining to the program; attend all relevant committee meetings.
- Act as liaison between the program and all University offices that handle matters pertaining to the program
- Support preparation and management of annual and multi-year enrollment projections and program budget, staffing approved program courses and evaluating and updating program offerings as needed
- As one of the administrative contacts for all program related matters, communicate with and maintain contact with prospective, new, and current program graduate students
- Represent the program internally and externally. Coordinate with marketing groups; recruit students to program; maintain presence at events for recruitment. Present at student orientation events, attend graduate open houses, graduate fairs
- Recruit faculty to teach in the program
- Liaise with Co-op Coordinators regarding student placements and potential placement sites
- Coordinate with Office of Global Services and coordinate with Bouve SEVIS contact on visa matters
- Liaise with Bouve Graduate Student office regarding graduation clearance, registration, and other student issues
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the healthcare ecosystem.
- Minimum of five years of experience teaching in higher education.
- Individual must have strong communication skills (verbal and written), strong project management skills, and proven experience with spreadsheets and databases.
- Must have expertise working independently and as a member of a team.

Assistant Teaching Professor: $82,000.00 - $99,000.00 | Associate Teaching Professor: $94,000.00 - $117,000.00 | Teaching Professor: $120,000.00 - $134,000.00
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
