The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Short-Term Casual (Non-Student) to join our team in a temporary part time position to work within the Division of Cardiology. The individual will assist in our Pediatric Exercise Lab and support tele-rehab initiative and RECOVER research study.
This Short-Term Casual (Non-Student) position is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to become familiar and trained in conducting research at one of the top institutions in the country for clinical research. They will work with principal investigators, research nurses, and research coordinators recruiting, consenting, collecting data and learning how to analyze data in research involving children with heart disease. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients. This position will support the department by providing research support to the Exercise Lab.
Responsibilities
- Support the department by providing research support to the Exercise Lab.
- Patient Consent- explain protocol, potential risks and benefits, in a clear, and understandable manner. Meet with patients to administer tele-health exercise counseling and group exercise classes.
- Data collection for large multicenter trial.
- Conduct remote exercise sessions and research exercise testing.
- Assist in writing IRB Protocols.
- Assist in data analysis and manuscript preparation.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalency required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
Other Requirements
- Strong Organizational, communication, & Interpersonal Skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
