The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) is the focal point for advanced teaching and research at CUNY, the nation's largest urban public university. The Graduate Center (GC) benefits from highly ambitious and diverse students and alumni-who in turn teach hundreds of thousands of undergraduates every year. Through its public programs, the Graduate Center enhances New York City's intellectual and cultural life.
The Business Office is seeking a Non-Teaching Adjunct, Level 4. The position reports to the Finance Manager. This is an in-person position for two (2) days a week up to 100 hours in July and August 2026, up to 225 hours for fall 2026, up to 225 hours for the spring 2027, and up to 75 hours for June 2027.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Analyze complex data sets and translate finding into actionable business strategies.
- Build and maintain budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare position level salary (PS) budget and forecasts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations across multiple reporting areas.
- Track and maintain financial data to perform revenue and expense projections.
- Assists with year-end audits, including preparation of trial balances, financial statements, notes, and MDA.
- Prepares ad hoc reports as requested.
- Prepares investment account reconciliations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Solid budge and forecasting experience
- Advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong analytical ability
- Advanced degree or CPA
- PeopleSoft experience
