Job Duties

The faculty member will be responsible for:

  1. Teaching undergraduate and emerging graduate-level courses in Business Analytics, including data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, and business intelligence.
  2. Maintaining an active research agenda in analytics, AI/ML applications, or data-driven business methods consistent with AACSB standards.
  3. Supporting curriculum innovation, including development and assessment of analytics focused courses and contributing to the design of the planned MBA in Business Analytics.
  4. Providing service at the departmental, school, university, and community levels.
  5. Supporting the school’s commitment to maintain AACSB International accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline by prior to hire.

Additional Considerations

  1. Industry or applied experience in analytics, AI/ML development, or business intelligence.
  2. Experience using analytics platforms such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  3. Demonstrated ability to connect analytics teaching to real-world business problems through projects, case studies, or partnerships is a plus.
  4. Experience contributing to new program development, particularly analytics-focused degrees or certificates is advantageous, especially as the School explores launching an MBA in Business Analytics.
  5. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills, personal integrity, and a commitment to diversity.
