Position Overview
The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University invites applications for an Adjunct Professor to teach in the Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) program. This role involves teaching 12 graduate level courses in the upcoming Spring 2026 cohort. We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in operational excellence and a passion for developing leaders in continuous improvement.
The Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) is a unique, executive-style graduate program designed for working professionals who lead or aspire to lead operational excellence transformations in their organizations. The program blends rigorous academic content with practical application, emphasizing systems thinking, problem-solving, and leadership development across a wide range of industries.
All courses are taught in person on the Universitys main campus in Columbus, Ohio.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver high-impact, practice-oriented instruction aligned with the programs focus on operational excellence.
- Collaborate with program faculty and staff to ensure course content is current, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.
- Engage with a diverse cohort of mid- to senior-level professionals from various industries.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students on applied projects and leadership development.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters degree (MBA, MBOE, or related field).
- Demonstrated teaching ability or significant experience facilitating adult learning in professional settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to student success.

- Experience applying the following principles across varied industries (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, services, government).

The College
Fisher College of Business has a rich research tradition and engages through the college and the Graduate School in programs at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. The nationally ranked Fisher College of Business is one of 15 colleges within the university, with approximately 9,000 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students.
Department Information
The mission of the Department of Operations and Business Analytics is to provide world class research, teaching and outreach in all areas of operations, purchasing and supply chain management. The department offers core courses in operations management, data analysis and business analytics to all of Fishers undergraduate students, as well as electives in various aspects of the disciplines.
