Nurse Planner, Area Health Education Center - Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine
Position Summary
The Nurse Planner supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of continuing nursing education and interprofessional continuing medical education activities associated with the Rural Health Transformation Workforce Pipeline Grant. This position is grant-funded, with up to five years of funding subject to annual approval through a renewal process.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist with ensuring compliance with continuing education accreditation standards, organizational policies, and grant requirements.
- Contribute to educational needs assessments.
- Support interprofessional planning committees.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and evaluation of grant-supported education activities.
- Collaborate with project leadership, faculty, and community partners to align continuing education with rural workforce development goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience. Healthcare professionals must hold, or be eligible for, appropriate licensure as required by position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to pass an FBI/BCI enhanced background check to organization's standards is required
- Valid RN license from the state of Ohio is required
- Eligibility to function as a Nurse Planner under accreditation standards is required
- Master's degree in nursing, public health, education, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in continuing education, professional development, program planning, or community health is preferred
