Position Summary
The UBMD Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. is seeking applicants for a full-time in patient Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant (APP) .
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) operates under the direction and supervision of one or more physicians, providing healthcare services for adults within the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Together with the attending physician they are responsible for:
- General inpatient endocrinology care including histories, physical exams and treatment decisions. The APP will be responsible for writing appropriate prescriptions.
- Ordering lab tests, imaging, and other diagnostic assessments and conveying results to patient and attending and consulting primary physicians.
- Ordering follow-up patient visits.
- Completing all documentation in the electronic health record and timely billing for patient encounters.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in accredited NP/PA program
- Current NYS license, DEA and Board Certification
- Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate judgment and initiative while operating during demanding situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- While some prior clinical experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome
Salary Range
$100,000 - $110,000
