Job Details
The School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Mount Olive seeks applicants for a 12-month, full-time, faculty position to teach Nursing and related coursework. This position will be assigned to the Division of Nursing within the School of Arts & Sciences and will report directly to the Division Chair of Nursing.
This in-person faculty position requires a presence on the UMO campus in Mount Olive, NC, and will be responsible for advising, teaching, and supervising majors enrolled in the programs offered within the Division of Nursing, including both our daytime and fast track nighttime Pre-Licensure BSN programs. This position requires some night and weekend teaching assignments. Candidates must be qualified to teach lecture, laboratory and clinical courses. Based on education and professional experience, the faculty member may be assigned additional courses in related disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited college or university and nationally accredited MSN program
- Hold an active, unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license recognized by the NCBON
- Experience utilizing a Learning Management System to create, organize, and deliver course content.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential to effectively work with students and faculty.
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Qualification Preferred:
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field (PhD, EdD, or DNP)
- Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred, particularly at an NCBON-approved nursing program
- Five (5) years of continuous, full-time experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse
