Job Summary
Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the Department of Continuing & Professional Education, which requires a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordination - 40: Schedule and approve time for registration staff. Act as hiring coordinator for camps and instructor staffing. Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, programs, appointments, and/or similar activities for supervisors when needed. Serve as Building Manager. Coordinate and maintain departmental records per USG records retention schedule. Serve as meeting space coordinator. Administrative coordination for student profiles, course records, quarterly financial overview within CPE registration system.
- Communication - 30: Prepare and distribute publicity items such as press releases, social media graphics, posters, flyers, handouts, promotional emails, etc. Oversee creative branding in the office, on bulletin boards, and display shelves.
- Processing - 15: Process requisitions, payment requests, and other related purchasing tasks as needed.
- Reporting - 10: Prepare daily deposits. Prepare or assist in preparing program-related reports. Prepare and assist with budget reports.
- Other - 5: Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience: At least one year of experience in marketing, communication, coordination, or registration management.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, business, or a related field.
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of USG and Georgia College & State University policies and procedures.

ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general understanding of PC operations. Ability to work with diverse communities and support efforts for inclusive excellence. Ability to adhere to university policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals.
