General Summary:
On-Campus Student Orientation Leaders (OLs) help create a welcoming transition for new students to MCC, introducing them to the resources and support services available at the college during all New Student Orientation and Welcome Month programming.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- OLs work with the Office of Student Engagement and IDS 101 FYE classes.
- Assist with icebreakers, facilitate class discussions and activities, aid in student navigation around campus, and perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Engage with new students, fostering a sense of community and belonging at MCC.
- Being an OL is a great way to meet new people, gain leadership and public speaking skills, and give back to the MCC community!
- Being an MCC Orientation Leader is a great Resume Booster!
- If selected, the student must be available to attend mandatory training, multiple registration sessions, and the Orientation program itself throughout Summer.
- OLs will be trained for both in-person and virtual orientation plans. Please note some events may be held virtually, so a reliable computer with internet access is required. These can be supplied to students if necessary.

Requirements:
- Be in good academic and student conduct standing
- Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.0
- Demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students
- Work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds
- Good organizational, communication, and basic computing skills
- Willingness to participate in both in-person and virtual orientation plans.
- Availability to attend mandatory training, multiple registration sessions, and the Orientation program throughout the summer.
Additional Information:
Location: Lowell and Bedford campus.
Hours: Up to 18.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire.
Expected Start Date: July 2026

Salary Range: $17.75 actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience.
Location: Lowell campus with occasional travel to Bedford as needed
