Onderzoeksassistent Pediatrische psychologie en PROMs
PROMs are questionnaires that allow patients to report on their physical, mental, and social functioning. They are used in healthcare to monitor patients, facilitate communication between patients and providers, and screen for additional support needs. Within the Pediatric Psychology and PROMs research group at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry & Psychosocial Care, Emma Children’s Hospital, Amsterdam UMC, we conduct research on the implementation of PROMs in daily care, their validity and reliability, applicability to various groups, and visual feedback of results. We also develop and evaluate interventions for clinical practice, such as EMDR treatments for different groups.
A key aspect is the implementation of the KLIK PROM portal in daily care. This portal has supported healthcare providers nationwide since 2011 to systematically address the psychosocial functioning of children and adults with chronic conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting various scientific research projects: Contributing to qualitative research (e.g., assisting with focus groups/interviews with patients); Contributing to qualitative and quantitative analyses; Conducting literature reviews; Assisting with data collection; Planning and organizing meetings; Attending scientific meetings; Preparing minutes and handling administrative tasks.
- Supporting the organization and execution of the KLIK PROM portal implementation: Setting up online appointments in the portal; Following up with patients and parents via phone and email; Providing KLIK training to healthcare professionals; Maintaining contact with website developers.
This is a supportive role without direct patient care.
Requirements: A completed academic degree (master’s level) in a social or health-related field (e.g., psychology or health sciences); Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; An open and professional attitude towards patients and professionals, proactive style, and persistent character; Strong communication skills in Dutch, both verbal and written; Good technical and statistical skills for data collection, processing, and analysis; Ability to collaborate well in a team and with external parties.
