"One-year Instructor in History and Social Science"

Phillips Academy seeks an Instructor in History and Social Science for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a one-year/non-continuing position. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching our core diploma requirement courses, including 9th and 10th grade World History as well as11th/12th grade United States History. We seek dynamic candidates who will be active participants not only in the academic program but also in the athletics/fitness and residential programs at this boarding school. A master’s degree plus a minimum of three years’ teaching experience preferred.

Salary range for this role is 50,000-126,000 annually. Placement on the Phillips Academy salary scale is based on years of experience.
