Job Summary

The Medical College of Georgia is currently seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, who will also hold an administrative post as the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph's / Candler Health System on the Savannah campus. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and deliver a nationally recognized residency program in Family Medicine.

The Program Director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents/fellows in each of the ACGME competency areas... This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Education - 25%: Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education... Complete an annual program evaluation...
• Participation in GME Governance - 25%: Manage GME staff... Comply with the Medical College of Georgia's written policies...
• Compliance with Regulatory Requirements affecting GME - 25%: Provide accurate information on resident schedules... Ensure residents obtain identification numbers...
• Maintenance of Accreditation - 25%: Monitor resident supervision... Prepare and submit all information required by the ACGME...

Required Qualifications

MD, DO or equivalent... Demonstrated expertise in Family Medicine and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience... Current certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Active and ongoing clinical activity...

Assistant Professor: Early level career... Associate Professor: Mid level... Professor: Senior level...
