The UNM Health Science Center (HSC) is the largest academic health complex in the state of New Mexico and is the only Level 1 trauma center. It is the state's only site for urologic residency training and a vast referral network exists for a practice involving urethral reconstruction, buried penis, cancer survivorship, congenitalism and men's health related procedures. It is located on the University of New Mexico campus in beautiful Albuquerque, NM, the HSC combines its four mission areas - educations, research, patient care and community outreach - to provide New Mexicans with the highest level of health care.
New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment; the city of Albuquerque is a beautiful city with mountain to the east and a mesa to the west. It is ideal for outdoor activities and sports all year-round including running, hiking, biking and skiing. The State of New Mexico is multicultural and diverse with excellent local cuisine, breathtaking sunsets, multiple cultural and historic sites, lakes, rivers, deserts and mountains.
