CLINICAL ASSOC PROF
The Department of Urology at the University of Michigan seeks a Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS) trained urologist to join a growing academic Men's Health and Reconstruction Division. This is a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor appointment on the Clinical Track.
This 0.8 cFTE faculty position will have a primary clinical focus on complex genitourinary reconstruction. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-volume, academically oriented reconstructive urology practice within a leading academic medical center.
Clinical Responsibilities
The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in advanced reconstructive urology.
Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Urethral Reconstruction
- Penile Reconstruction and surgical management of Peyronie's Disease
- Surgical Management of Erectile Dysfunction
- Surgical Management of Male Stress Urinary Incontinence
- Surgical management of Buried Penis
- Complex reconstructive procedures including skin graft
- Robotic and open ureteral and bladder reconstruction
- Longitudinal care of patients with prior reconstructive surgery or adverse outcomes
Faculty are also expected to participate in departmental clinical conferences, educational activities, and multidisciplinary collaboration as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited urology residency
- Completion of a Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS) fellowship
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Michigan
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care
- Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and program development
