The University of Houston Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine Department of Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a Translational Scientist at the rank of Research Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful applicant will focus primarily on advancing a robust research agenda while contributing to essential teaching and service activities within the Department, College, and University. As a key member of a growing team of faculty members and research scientists, the candidate will be expected to secure externally funded research grants and support pedagogy within the College. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of high-impact research with expertise in translational areas such as Dementia, Neuroscience, or Biomedical Engineering; however, we remain open to other biomedical fields that align with our mission. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate the ability to translate laboratory discoveries into clinical applications or community-based health solutions and who possess experience in leading multidisciplinary research teams.
