Organisational Development Consultant (Performance & Career Growth)

About the Role

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a high-impact, people-centred Organisational Development specialist to strengthen how we develop, recognise and reward our people.

In this role, you’ll provide specialist advice to help design and embed consistent and effective performance, career development, reward and recognition practices across UOW. Working closely with People & Culture and key stakeholders across academic and professional staff groups, you will support capability uplift and the continuous improvement of performance and reward-related processes to enhance the employee experience.

What you’ll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in OD, supporting performance, development and/or talent frameworks in a large organisation.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills, with confidence partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and delivering practical resources, workshops and facilitation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data and insights to drive improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide advice and support on performance, career progression and development frameworks across UOW. 
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of key reward and recognition programs.
  • Design and deliver practical capability-building tools (e.g., workshops, guides) that strengthen performance, development and reward and recognition frameworks and conversations.
  • Support continuous improvement of performance, career development and recognition practices. 
  • Support data collection, reporting and evaluation to track outcomes and inform improvements.
