Location
(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Provides support and assistance in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events and activities associated with the KSU Overnight Experiences Program held during the summer months. Employees are not permitted to have non-staff visitors in their suite while minors are living in the building.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support for camps and conferences across all campuses and locations during the summer months, typically from May through early August
- Prepares and inspects each unit and bedroom used, both before and after check-out, including completing room condition reports
- Assists with guest check-in and check-out processes, including assigning temporary access cards to suites and using designated software or processes to check guests in and out
- Be onsite and available for assigned events, ensuring access to rooms, logging into computers, and responding to various client-specific needs
- Serves in an on-call rotation, preferably on the days and/or nights of confirmed conference and/or camp guests
- Coordinates the distribution of conference-related materials and items upon guests' arrival, including linens, toiletries, and information from the department and University
- Ensures safety and manages risks for assigned times and areas by initiating emergency protocols, reporting issues and concerns, referring matters to appropriate parties, and adhering to policies regarding risks to minors on campus
- Supports clients throughout their stay, including addressing maintenance issues, room lockouts, legal reports, and more
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Must complete all required Kennesaw State Minors on Campus Training and scheduled department-specific training
Required Experience
On the job training provided
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Experience working in Housing and Residence Life and/or Residential Camps and Intern Housing
Proposed Salary
The budgeted pay rate is $12.50 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

ABILITIES
Able to be on time and available for events
Sound judgement and highest ethical standard
Must attend all staff meetings, one-on-ones and training sessions, and complete required online training
A schedule of event inquiries will be provided for the duration of the summer, the schedule is subject to change at any point as guests sign up to stay with us
Expected to adjust schedules and be as accessible as possible to support the assigned programs
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
