The Yale School of Management is seeking individuals with experience and expertise from a wide range of academic and business disciplines who are interested in teaching in a part-time capacity. Demonstrated content expertise and a well-developed syllabus are required.

Applicants should either hold a terminal degree in their field or have significant senior level work experience. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates must also be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time of the appointment and be able to work legally for the full term of the appointment.

Applicants should submit the following: 1) a brief cover letter, including any restrictions on teaching availability; 2) a curriculum vitae or resume; and 3) a proposed course syllabus. Please ensure the focus and objective of the course are clearly outlined and session topics, readings, assessments, and grading rubrics are included. Only complete applications will be considered. Considerations will include whether the proposed course provides unique subject matter that is of interest to Yale SOM students and is a good fit for the school’s curriculum. Part-time faculty are responsible for class content, delivery, and assignment of grades. Selected applicants are expected to work with the Dean’s Office and cognizant faculty to make any necessary revisions to the scope or content of the course prior to its being offered. Level of compensation will be determined by course details; part-time faculty are non-ladder positions and do not include benefits.

Review of applications will begin on September 1, 2025 and will continue until all positions have been filled. Part-time faculty start dates and assignment lengths vary during the academic year and are determined on a case-by-case basis.
