Part Time Faculty, Criminology Program
The Criminology program within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. This position is ideal for practitioners, researchers, and experienced educators seeking to contribute to the academic development of undergraduate students in criminology and criminal justice.
Courses are not guaranteed as academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter; however, the program does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Part-time faculty typically teach one to two classes an academic year.

Qualifications:
MA/MS in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related fields and/or JD for specific courses. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working or teaching in a diverse learning environment.

About DePaul University's Academic Calendar: Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
Salary Information: The anticipated hiring rate of this position is between $4,590 and $5,691 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
