Essential Duties:
We are seeking part-time faculty for the Fall 2025 to teach a variety of courses for majors and non-majors. Possible courses include Script Analysis & Dramaturgy, Theatre for Young Audiences, Oral Interpretation, and Theatre Appreciation.
- Teach a variety of upper level & lower-level courses, including CORE Curriculum courses, for our Universitys diverse student population using a variety of appropriate teaching methods; meet all scheduled classes prepared to instruct; prepare teaching syllabi for courses of study; prepares materials to adequately evaluate student progress; report midterm and final grades when appropriate; maintains accurate and adequate records.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.
- Utilize an equity- minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourage student success for all students regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status, religion, or disability.
Required Qualifications:
MA, MFA, or PhD in related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience at the university/college level preferred
