"Part-time Faculty, Director of Dana Gospel Choir"

The Dana School of Music is looking for an inspiring musician to direct a Gospel Choir.

Founded over 140 years ago, the Dana School of Music is one of the oldest music schools in the United States. More than 50 faculty and staff maintain a tradition of conservatory-style music training in a metropolitan university setting. Offered to our students are a wide range of degree programs and majors. Bachelor of Music degrees is awarded in composition, music education, music performance, jazz studies, and recording technology. Candidates may also earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in music history, music theory, or applied music. At the graduate level, programs leading to the Master of Music degree are available to full or part-time students in the areas of composition, theory, education, history, performance (including conducting), and jazz studies.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Music or related field. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Documented experience in leading a gospel choir. Successful candidates will also show the potential to be good recruiters for the ensemble.
