Part-time Faculty Position, Social Media Instructor, SCPS

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at DePaul University is accepting applications from those interested in a part-time opportunity to teach courses addressing various aspects of social media. Course offerings will begin in the Fall 2025 quarter in the asynchronous format.

There are three separate courses that address the following content areas:

• Analytics & Measurement: how to collect and analyze social media data using current measurement tools and advanced measurement tactics.
• Creating Content: how various social media platforms operate, how to create specialized content for them, examine how companies and organizations use social media.
• Marketing Fundamentals: history of the Internet, how to identify and evaluate appropriate technologies to market products and services and create social networks.

Applicants with training and experience in one or more of these three content areas are welcome to apply.

SCPS serves students of all ages and backgrounds... offers a variety of majors including Business Administration, Computer Science, and Applied Behavioral Sciences.

Qualifications:

To teach at the undergraduate level, a Master's degree is required in a related field to the subject area you wish to teach. To teach at the graduate level, a Doctorate or terminal degree is required in a related field. Experience teaching at the college level is desirable, but not required.

Salary Information: The anticipated hiring rate of this position is between $4,800 and $6,000 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
