Part Time Faculty, Sociology
The Department of Sociology within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites applicants for part-time faculty teaching opportunities. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. Applicants with qualifications that match our course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the department will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however the Department does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. preferred
- Ph.D. required for graduate courses
This is an in person position at the Lincoln Park Campus.We do not accept applicants seeking online or remote teaching positions.
Application Instructions
Applicants will be considered for all courses offered in the Department of Sociology. In addition to teaching in the Department, this postion may also include teaching in our related programs, including the First-Year Program and the Sophomore Seminar in Multiculturalism. Courses will be taught in person during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Exceptions to standard rates may apply to courses with unique credit hours, supervision, labs, clinical/practicum courses, coaching, administrative tasks, and courses that are either over-enroled or under-enrolled.
