"Part-time Faculty - Student Teacher Supervisor"

The School of Education at Point Park University is seeking retired principals, assistant superintendents, and superintendents in Pennsylvania to supervise aspiring teacher candidates during the teaching/mentoring requirement.

 Qualifications:

• Holds a Pennsylvania Principal or Letter of Eligibility
• Transportation
• Professional educators who desire to supervise future teachers
• Excellent technology skills
• Current Clearances

 Job Responsibilities:

• Attend online orientation via Zoom with candidates
• Check the candidate’s weekly assignments
• Provide weekly written and verbal feedback
• Observe the candidate a minimum of 4 times during the required placement (approximately every 3 weeks)
• Complete a written PDE 430, provide written, and verbal feedback after each observation
• Verify when the candidate has successfully completed the program

Compensation:

To be determined based on placement.

• Mileage
• If overnight travel is required, lodging and food pending prior approval
