Part - Time Instructor, Ceramics - Fine Arts - FY 2026
Job Description
The Art Instructor conducts classes for the Department of Fine Arts, Art Program, predominantly teaching in-person Ceramics courses. Other teaching assignments in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture or Art Appreciation may be given. Other courses taught may be in-person or online. Instructors are expected to take part in regularly scheduled instructional meetings, professional development, and to complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
Teaching includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Assigned courses, days, times and/or locations may vary from semester to semester.
- Assignments may be any combination of classroom and online modes.
- Assignments may be located on any combination of CSN's several campuses.
- Assignments may be any combination of morning, afternoon, and evening hours.
- Assignments may be any combination of any days of the week including weekends.
- Assignments may be any combination of courses for which instructor is qualified.
Fall and Spring classes run 8-16 weeks, 1-2 days a week, approximately 1 hours to 3 hours each class at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas valley. Summer classes run 6 weeks, 4 days a week for approximately 4 hours per day at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas valley.
Required Qualifications
MFA in Ceramics or closely related field required
Rate of Pay
$925.00 Per instructional unit.
$46.25 per lab hour
