Part Time Instructor - Speech Pathology
Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Nevada State University invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in the Speech Pathology Program. This year our preference is for in-person or hybrid teaching. Course teaching could be undergraduate or graduate level, and include, but are not limited to, speech sound disorders, audiology, neurology, speech and hearing communication science. Clinical supervision opportunities are also available at our Nevada State on-campus clinic and/or our RiteCare clinic in downtown Las Vegas.
Benefits of being a part-time speech language pathology faculty include access to CAPCSD training CEUs, opportunity to participate in the Center for Teaching and Learning, library access, support for technology, and access to clinic resources.
Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses range from 1-3 credits.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language & Hearing Sciences or closely-related field.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence - ASHA CCCs.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language & Hearing Sciences or closely-related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
- Previous teaching experience.
